2349: Space Prospectors

A game of flicking and asteroid squatting for two to six players.

Play time of 30 to 45 minutes

Ages 12+

So, you want to know the story of the great Asteroid Rush of ’49? Well, you’ve come to the right place: I was there, and I lived through the whole thing. I can fill you in on how everything happened, and how I came to be Governor of this fine sector of space.

The Premise

2349: Space Prospectors takes place in the year 2349. A cluster of Asteroids has been discovered near a distant colony. These asteroids are rich in a rare mineral called Unobtainium and a 24th century version of a “gold rush” has begun.

Players take on the role of Prospectors. These Prospectors have rushed to the Asteroid Cluster and are trying to lay claim to the Asteroids richest in Unobtainium. Each Prospector has only four ships and can, at best, occupy four asteroids. This is a lawless time when claim jumping and showdowns are the norm.
